Yesterday, in psychology we were discussing the failures of our society. How teachers, mothers, etc. are undervalued, how our government won’t guarantee basic needs for all children and the elderly and all that good stuff. This quote kept coming to mind:

“The moral test of government is how that governemnet treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children, those who are in the twlight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadow of life, the needy and the handicap.”-Hubert Humphrey

Right now our government is failing this test.
