I love Halloween! Jaycie got to dress up for school today and have a parade around each classroom. They had Family Fun Night at Max’s preschool on Tuesday. The kids made the front page of the paper. Max is the robot and that’s Jaycie with her back turned.

Tomorrow we are taking the kids to the local nursing home before we go out door to door. This will be the first year that I haven’t take the kids to see my Grandma at the nursing home. It was always such a hassle but she enjoyed it so much so I always made sure to go. I’m sad about not going this year. I remember when my Grandma was a Princess and Jaycie just loved it. And Tracy was a salesman and she had black teeth and my Grandma was so disturbed by the whole thing. Tracy and I laugh whenever we think of the look on my Grandma’s face when Tracy smiled at her. I keep thinking that if Halloween is this hard on me I can’t imagine how Christmas will be. But then again, that time of year is always a little hard because of Jill and everything.
I’ve been invited to apply for Honor Society Membership in The National Scholars Honor Society. I’m not sure if it’s legit or not. Anyone ever heard of this organization?????

The one year anniversary marking the loss of the Paul and Sheila Wellstone is this Saturday. Jim Walsh a local music critic and writer has inspired many people to hold music celebrations in memory and honor of the Wellstones. This event is dubbed Wellstone World Music Day. There are tons of events in and around the Twin Cities and we are even having one here in our small community. For those of you who can not attend a Wellstone World Music Day event, check out the preview of “Carry It Forward” an upcoming film documenting the lives of Paul and Sheila Wellstone. I hope you are inspired to carry on the Wellstone fight.

Is there anyone out there who saves these? We eat like 2-3 boxes of cereal a week and I always see these things but never have looked at the catalog until now. I always thought you could save points to earn free stuff but that isn’t how it works. You save points to earn a discount up to 75%. They have some cool home stuff (if your in to that kind of thing). I think my friend Jodi’s Mom saved these points at one time but I’ve never known anyone else who has. Maybe I’ll give it a shot!
Ben took me to my first WILD game last night!!! I wasn’t really too excited to go but it ended up being so much fun even though the WILD lost. There were a couple of good fights and some interesting happenings around us. So it ended up being a really good time. Of course, Ben had tons of fun. I wish I could afford to buy him season tickets but it’s $100 per seat just to get on the waiting list. Maybe when I finish school I can get them for him.
Congratulations Jodi! Your campaign to Save Burnt Sienna worked!!!!
