Happy Anniversary to my dear, sweet Husband. Nine years, who would have thought?? I love you!!!!!

We had an offer presented to us last night. No, we didn’t take it because is would of resulted in us having to pay to get out the house. The buyers realtor presented us with the offer. It was so interesting watching the power plays between our realtor and their realtor. Their realtor was telling us that sometimes people have to take a loss in order to move ahead. She was basically telling us because there are so many houses on the market that we are in no position to bargain. So our realtor tells her, that we have plenty of people looking at the house and we aren’t in a position to take a loss on the house. She was going on and on about how interest rates are on the rise and that there aren’t many buyers out there and blah blah blah. It was so crazy. Our realtor did a great job with presenting our counter offer. She was arguing every point with him, but he stood his ground. She was just rude. She accused our realtor of not being honest and of having a buyer in his pocket. Eventually, he was able to convince her of our situation and that there was no dishonesty or other buyers. Her buyers came back with another offer and it was still bad. We then presented her with another counter offer which she wouldn’t even listen to. She just said that was their final offer, so we all got up. She was so rude. Our counter offer would have only resulted in an increase of $29 a month for her buyers, but she wouldn’t even present them with the offer. He tried to make it clear to her that this was the lowest we could go. The lowest amount, which is basically breaking even. She was pissed. I am not sure if she was pissed at our realtor, us, or her buyers. She’s from the cities which means she has to drive at least an hour in order to show houses to her buyers. Apparently, they have looked at everything on the market and can’t really pick anything. She seemed really frustrated with us and with them, but what can you do. It was just so interesting watching both of them feign disinterest and trying to get the other one to crack. We have a showing today and an open house on Saturday, so we hope something else will come up

The new house is almost done. We have open houses and a couple showings this week. We hope something pans out this week, so we can start planning our big move!

As part of the membership fee, we will request all new members to pay a $17
fee that will cover the cost of the medallion to wear at your graduation and
membership fee. Please drop off the check at the Social Work department at
UST of CSC to the Attention of Ralph Holcomb.
