Our new furniture is coming today. I am so excited. Now all we have to do is paint and get some artwork for the walls and our house will look like a home.

I had my interview last week. It went fairly well, but I thought they might be hung up on the fact that I haven’t finish school yet. Well, she e-mailed me the other day for my references and verification of passing the licensure, so it looks good. It’s the perfect job for me because it’s part-time and flexible which I need because of the kids. I hope to hear something by the end of the week.

I have been accepted to Augsburg. I sent in my letter of acceptance of their acceptance, so I will start Grad school in January. It will be nice to have a little break before going back. I also applied to the the U, but I haven’t heard back. After many discussions, I decided it isn’t the right fit for me right now. I may go there to do some other things, but for now my MSW I will go to Augsburg.

International Women’s Day

Tuesday

International Women’s Day (8 March) is an occasion marked by women’s groups around the world. This date is also commemorated at the United Nations and is designated in many countries as a national holiday. When women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their Day, they can look back to a tradition that represents at least nine decades of struggle for equality, justice, peace and development.

We picked out our dresses for Kelli’s wedding. They are so cute. Her maid of honor and I love the way the feel. Poor Tracy couldn’t try one on because Baby Becker #3 wouldn’t fit. Kelli picked out a beautiful wedding dress and tiara. She looked so beautiful. I love dress shopping!

I passed my licensing test today. It was way harder than I thought it was going to be but I still managed to get 93%. There were a lot more tricky questions than I thought there were going to be. I have a job interview this week, so things are starting to come together. From what I know about the job, I really want it. It’s part time, but pays well. Plus, it’s close to home. I’ll have to see how I feel after the interview.
