So, I bought my books for my first class the other day–$200 for 3 books!! Ben only spent $85 on 5 books for two classes. Grad school is going to be expensive. I’m nervous about starting “grad school.” I’m ready for the challenge, but I’m not sure what to expect. My first class is Advance Practice Methods. The focus is on direct practice which isn’t my forte, but it’s all good information to know/review. Two of the texts focus heavily on multiculturalism which should be interesting. I loved my undergrad courses and did well in school, but I’m nervous about the whole “Masters” level thing. I’m trying not to set expectations of my self too high so as to not get discouraged. I

I got one of the best birthday presents ever–a mini-high school reunion! As usual, we went home on Friday to begin the Christmas festivities. Ben and I hooked up with two of our high school friends to bowl. Not my favorite thing, but it was fun to hang out with them. After bowling, we went back to one guy’s house to have a few drinks. Two beers later and we were heading to Chippewa. One of my old friends owns a restaurant out on the lake and more of our high school friends were there. I saw people I hadn’t seen in ten years. It was just crazy! So much has changed, but yet it all stays the same. It was so much fun to reminisce and catch up on the latest gossip.

Max has the cutest Christmas list this year. It is as follows:
Dear Santa,
This is my Christmas list:
1. A giant cork (to plug a hole in Africa that is polluting the water)
2. One million fence pieces (to protect Antarctica, Madagascar, and the Australian Outback)
3. Pushpins (to pop tires of the polluters and to push boats back)
4. All the Peef books
5. A Peef toy
6. A Madagascar Poster
7. A light saber
8. A stuffed Gingerbread Boy
9. March of the Penguins DVD
10.A Turkey Suit
Thank you very much,
Max

He has been obsessing about the environment and endangered species lately. We are going to “adopt” an endangered animal through World Wildlife Fund for him. If only I could find that turkey suit.
