I submitted my resignation today. I had to give a four week notice, so I’ll be done mid-March. I feel so free. There are many reasons why I quit–namely, I am uncomfortable with some of their business practices. I could never rectify within myself the whole for-profit business when it comes to healthcare and the elderly. I’m also feeling overwhelmed with my school work and trying to keep a somewhat normal family life. Being home during the day will allow me a chance to do the school stuff, leaving the nights for Ben and the kids. I’m a little sad about leaving some of my co-workers and the residents I have developed good working relationships with, but I know this will be better for me.
